Global Warming
Projects that are changing the game

Disney's solar farm
Located in Florida, this 270 acre solar panel facility is a driving force against global warming. It cost Disney around 171.7 billion dollars and will begin working in 2020. It will cut the greenhouse emissions of Disney World by 57,000 tons per year. This 50-megawatt solar facility will be able to power 2 of the 4 parks.

The rise of electric vehicles
In recent years, electric vehicles have been on the rise. Around 28 percent of greenhouse gases in the United States are caused by transportation services. This large percentage will hopefully be decreasing in the coming years tanks to the rise of electric vehicles. There has been an overwhelmingly positive response to hybrid and electric vehicles. Companies have began installing electrical charging stations across the United States and now they are easily accessible.

Catalytic Finance Initiative
This initiative was started by Bank of America in 2014. Their goal is to invest in projects that support sustainability and clean energy, in order to reduce greenhouse gases. In 2016, it gained 12 partners and invested over 10 billion dollars in projects. One project includes a wind farm that powers around 288 MW in an offshore island in the North Sea. Another project it has funded is for the GivePower Foundation. Their goal is to provide solar lighting for schools in developing countries such as Haiti, Kenya, Nicaragua, Senegal, Nigeria, etc.
